Abduction attempt outside school

Lytham St Annes High School has issued safety warning letters to students after a 14-year-old pupil was approached by a male driver, who asked her to get in his car as she walked to school alone down St Andrews Drive South in St Annes.
The teenager refused and carried on walking as the man sped off.
Minutes later he returned, pulled up alongside side her and again demanded she got into his car.
The girl ran off to her friend's house and reported the incident to teachers as soon as she arrived at the Worsley Road school.
Staff immediately contacted police, who have now stepped up patrols in the area.
The man, described as white, with dark blonde, short hair, was driving a dark grey car, a similar size to a Vauxhall Corsa, when he confronted the girl at 8.45am on Monday.
