Searching for the right engine
Thu 12th Nov 2009
search engines are popping all over the place today. I decided to look for a new search engine, and have came accross duck duck go. Bit of a daft name but i like it. seens to be alot cleaner when doing a search and instantly comes up with robirvine.co.uk. Google on the other hand is the most common seach engine to use.
I'ts used on a daily basis by people around the globe. type in somthing my blog and comes up with thosands of results that have nothing to do with what your looking for. I remember when i was in college and when i was doing reasearch on a plant i could never find what i wanted. This of course was using google for the job.
Another one i have cam to discover was coulio or somthing along the lines of it. and at the bottom it says ''search 140 million web pages''. By the sounds of it that's all you can look for not much of a choice have you now. This coulio dosen't have the funtions of google, or go go duck. With google you can search for imiges, videos.
Culio you can't look for videos or that certen image your wanting for your college project. To me it looks like a directory then a search engine, when you type somthing in i would think it will forward you to google or somthing like that.
There are so many tools to look for what you want. It's just a matter of prefence. in my opinion since i've came accross this go go duck im going to stick with them. And give this culio a try and in my next post i'll give you the update on it.
